Republicans started the cycle looking likely to keep control of outgoing Senator Dan Coats’s seat with Democratic [Leftist] Representative Barron Hill in the race. Then it seemed destined to go Democratic [Leftist] once Hill dropped out and former Senator Evan Bayh jumped in.
But a flurry of damaging stories and revelations stunted Bayh’s comeback, giving Representative Todd Young a 10-point win behind Trump’s 19-point victory.
Donnelly seemed to have an uphill battle against Senator Richard Lugar (R) in 2012, until the incumbent was toppled by former Indiana Treasurer Richard Mourdock.
Look for a much tighter race now, with potential GOP candidates such as Representatives Luke Messer, Susan Brooks or Marlin Stutzman, who ran in the primary this past spring, in the mix.

Republican Senator Cory Gardner (Colorado), chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, recently declared North Dakota Senator Heidi Heitkamp (D [Leftist]) as the ‘most vulnerable’ Senate incumbent of the 2018 midterm elections [An Establishment Republican judgment call.].
Unfortunately for Heitkamp, her Republican colleague is not the only person who recognizes her vulnerabilities, and her opponent, Representative Kevin Cramer (R), is on the attack [North Dakota has only one member in the House of Representatives.].
What’s going on?
It takes just a quick Google search to understand that Heitkamp is not in a good position heading into the final two months before the November 6 election. Some recent headlines stated:
1) National Review: ‘Heidi Heitkamp Is Her Own Worst Enemy’
2) New York Times: ‘A Supreme Court Vote Is Just One of Heidi Heitkamp’s Headaches [Will she vote against President Trump’s nominee to please Planned Murderhood and the rest of the Left or will she vote for the nominee to please her constituents since President Trump is very popular in North Dakota?].’
3) NPR [National Public Radio]: ‘Vulnerable Democrat [Leftist], Senator Heitkamp Faces Tough Re-Election Bid’
Among Heitkamp’s many roadblocks to re-election is the fact that she’s a moderate Democrat [Not a chance. She is a Leftist through and through. Her Conservative Review scorecard score is F 8% while Kevin Cramer’s is 30 points higher. The other Senator’s is 11 points higher. None of the three are conservative and Heidi Heitkamp is certainly not a moderate.] not closely aligning with her party in a state President Donald Trump won by nearly 36 points in 2016. And while she has been close with Trump, who even considered her for a Cabinet position, the president endorsed Cramer earlier this year.
To boot, Heitkamp only narrowly won election in 2012 - by less than one point [She should have lost in 2012. In 2012, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell declared war on Republican candidates deemed too conservative by Establishment Republicans refusing to finance and support conservatives.], in fact.
North Dakotans overwhelmingly demand their national representatives support Trump’s ‘Make America Great Again’ agenda. Unfortunately for Heitkamp, who is one of Trump’s most supportive congressional Democrats [Leftists], she cannot align herself with Trump for election; she has to hold true to her Democratic [Leftist] Party values, which she has done time and time again by voting against the GOP’s big ticket legislative accomplishments in Congress [F 8%].
Those votes - against tax reform, against Obamacare repeal, against border wall funding, and against a significant number of Trump’s judicial nominees - are paramount in Heitkamp’s uphill battle [While voting for Planned Murderhood and the murder of babies within the womb.]. That’s because this election is the first time she will ever have to run on a legislative record as her previous political experience was in North Dakota’s executive branch.
Meanwhile, Cramer, who has an edge with voter recognition as North Dakota’s lone representative, is a widely popular lawmaker. In fact, he won nearly 70 percent of the vote in his bid for re-election in 2016.
And while the Koch-funded Americans for Prosperity withdrew support for Cramer last month,[To better utilize their spending to help candidates who need help instead of one that does not?] public polling is on his side [Polls do not vote. A good bit of advice. Never believe an election is won until it is actually won.]. The most recent major poll found Cramer 4 points ahead of his opponent, 48 percent to 44 percent [That is not that much of a lead in a small population State. The tendency is for elections to get closer as the election nears.].
The lead has allowed Cramer to go on the offensive [Every Republican Senatorial candidate should go on the offensive. The Left is so far away from mainstream America especially for the bluest of blue States.].
What’s he doing?
In Cramer’s most recent ad, first shared with National Review, he launches a broadside campaign against Heitkamp for her support of ‘sanctuary city policies [One of the Leftist’s new sacred cows. Does North Dakota have any sanctuary cities?].’
‘Our nation has a serious problem with illegal [aliens] immigration [Illegals are NOT immigrants, by definition.],” Cramer says in the ad. ‘I voted against funding sanctuary cities because federal tax dollars shouldn’t go to cities that hide illegal [aliens] immigrants, especially those who commit violent crimes [None. Zero. Nada.].
‘It’s hard to understand why Heidi Heitkamp, who is a former attorney general, voted to fund sanctuary cities that ignore the rule of law and put our citizens and law-enforcement officers at risk [Until one realizes that she is a typical Leftist.],’ he adds. “I don’t believe that breaking the law deserves an award of our tax dollars [Absolutely does not.].’”

I support the actions of the administration in regard to Syria, using punitive, surgical strikes when necessary to demonstrate that America will not stand idly by when chemical weapons of mass murder are unleashed on innocent civilians. I support a tough approach to the Kim regime in North Korea that leads to conclusive de-nuclearization. All options must be on the table to ensure the stability of the Indo-Pacific region for our many allies there, as well as its status as a major commercial corridor. Beyond this, ensuring our homeland's own national security is our most important responsibility in government. That's why I support enhanced vetting, to make sure bad actors and security threats are not allowed access into to the United States.”
I could find nothing saying Heidi Heitkamp is pro-life. She is not.
I could find nothing saying Heidi Heitkamp supports the Second Amendment as written. She does not.
If Republicans do their work, her seat will go red. It certainly should. Every Statewide elected office is held by a Republican except for one which has an Independent. Since the Republicans are NOT running a candidate, it is a safe conclusion that Republicans support him.
The voters in North Dakota need to do the math to determine if Heidi Heitkamp is representing the people of North Dakota or representing the Left.

I have been concentrating on Senate elections in which Republicans have a good chance of defeating a Leftist incumbent Senator. However, the Left has been pouring millions of dollars into the Texas Senate campaign trying to defeat Senator Ted Cruz. As mentioned in the above referenced post, at least one poll had Leftist Beto O’Rourke leading by 2% points. The Political Action Committee (PAC) who e-mailed that information to me while seeking a donation was jubilant. Last Friday was the first of three debates between the two candidates. Today is Beto’s birthday and over the last two days not counting today I have received a couple of additional e-mails from the PAC. I thought it appropriate for an update based upon the debate and the latest polls. I don’t know if the polling information is before or after the debate. The PAC did not say.

In an act of ‘protest’ that appeared to verge on a violent attack, a group of liberals [Leftists] drove Texas Senator Ted Cruz and his wife out of a Washington, D.C., restaurant Monday, the New York Post reports.
The protest was ostensibly about federal Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination, and most of the verbal attacks seemed to be directed toward that. Footage of the attack, posted by a group calling itself Smash Racism DC, shows the protesters chanting ‘We believe survivors’ as they chased Cruz and his wife Heidi from the unidentified eatery.
‘I know that you’re very close friends with Mr. Kavanaugh,’ one of the activists says to Cruz.
‘But do you believe survivors, sir? We believe survivors [Guilty by accusation. No facts needed. No evidence needed. The way of the Leftist mobocracy.]!”
One protester, describing herself as a constituent and ‘survivor of sexual assault [So?]’ followed the Cruzes throughout the restaurant and said, ‘Senator, I have a right to know what your position is on Brett Kavanaugh [And she will find out when he votes. He is not at the office. He is out to have dinner with his wife. LEAVE HIM ALONE.].’
‘God bless you, ma’am,’ Cruz replied.
‘Vote no on Kavanaugh!’ another protester screamed. ‘Cancel Kavanaugh for women’s rights [Meaning murdering babies within the womb in Leftist speak.].’
However, not all of the protesters were exactly concerned about how the Kavanaugh nomination might affect American women: ‘Beto [Senate opponent.] is hotter than you, dude [So? Was this a man or a woman speaking?],’ one protester can be heard to say, referring to Cruz’s Democrat [Leftist] challenger U.S. Representative Robert “Beto” O’Rourke.
Eventually, after having his table surrounded, Cruz decided it was time to leave.
‘Let’s go ahead and go,’ Cruz said.
They finally managed to get out after a restaurant employee struggled to get the door open, though it wasn’t clear what the problem was.
The group bragged about its thuggishness on Twitter.

Just a note, this hasn’t been taken off Twitter or caused any banning [Of course not. It is a Leftist group. Has Twitter EVER banned anything from the Left? I seriously don’t know because I have never done Twitter and seriously doubt if I ever will.], but James Woods remains locked out of the platform as of Tuesday morning for tweeting a joke meme (nothing has been posted to his normally active account since Thursday). Just throwing that out there.
I’m also forced to note not infrequently that this is apparently where we are in 2018 - harassment and confrontation [By the Left. They have used both routinely for a very long time.] has replaced civilized discourse, and anyone who’s conservative is considered fair game for public intimidation [And they are getting away with it. You can’t tell me they aren’t violating D.C. laws.].
This group shouted at Cruz [Such brave Leftists.], they blocked his wife [Such brave Leftists.], and all over the fact that he’s friends with Kavanaugh. (He’s also said that the judge needs to give a public explanation about the charges leveled against him, but apparently that doesn’t matter [Of course not.].)
In short, Cruz said ‘God bless you.” In return, they chased him and his wife out of a restaurant [Such brave Leftists.]. If that doesn’t say everything about the left and how they’re approaching Brett Kavanaugh and everything involved with the GOP [Republicans], I don’t know what will [Standard operating procedure for the Left. It is who they are. Thugs.].

There is a Constitutional solution. Article I Section 8 ¶ 18 of the US Constitution

According to the Constitution, Congress has control over Washington D.C. Congress unconstitutionally delegated this power to a Washington D. C. government NOT provided for in the Constitution. Nothing in the Constitution gives the Congress authority to delegate its powers to others. Congress should take back its constitutional authority over Washington D.C. If D.C. won’t protect members of the federal government, maybe Congress will.

The Washington Post’s fact checker gave Democratic [Leftist] Senate challenger Beto O’Rourke a Texas-sized rating for evading the truth in evaluating his claim that he did not try to leave the scene of a 1998 [Twenty years ago not 36 years ago. An impartial witness account. Not just an accusation.] auto accident [Lying.].
O’Rourke is battling Republican Senator Ted Cruz in a highly competitive race. Cruz leads O’Rourke by 4.5 percent points according to the Real Clear Politics average of polls, but one poll has the margin as tight as 1 percentage point [Which would be normal with a wide range of polls. Why an average is taken. Depending upon the size of the sample, the normal range is about 3%.].
In August, the Houston Chronicle reported that O’Rouke’s 1998 accident, which he has admitted took place, was ‘a more serious threat to public safety than has previously been reported.’
A Texas Department of Public Safety report from 1998 said that after O’Rourke hit a truck, he tried to leave the scene of the accident [possible felony depending upon State law?] ‘but was stopped by the same motorist he had just passed.’
The motorist, who was not named, ‘then turned on his overhead lights to warn oncoming traffic and to try to get the defendant (O’Rourke) to stop,’ the report said.

But during a debate Friday with Cruz, O’Rourke offered a different version of events.
‘I did not try to leave the scene of the accident,’ O’Rourke said, the Dallas Morning News reported.
In assessing O’Rourke’s denials, the Post’s fact-checker examined a September 1998 report from police officer Richard Carrera.
‘The defendant/driver then attempted to leave the scene,’ Carrera reported, according to The Post. ‘The reporter [of the accident?] then turned on his overhead lights to warn oncoming traffic and try to get the defendant to stop.’
O’Rourke was also drunk at the time of the accident [Drinking and driving.].
A report on the accident said that the ‘defendant [Beto O’Rourke] was unable to be understood due to slurred speech’ and that he had ‘glossy eyes’ and ‘breath that smelled of an alcohol beverage [Drunk.].’
O’Rourke ‘almost fell to the floor’ when asked to step out of the car, the report said and when given a balance test ‘failed by totally losing his balance [Drunk.].’
The Post said the evidence from 1998 makes it hard to support O’Rourke’s claim from Friday’s debate.
‘O’Rourke was so drunk that he could barely get out of the car without falling, so perhaps he would not have gotten far - or he was simply confused. Perhaps in his memory, O’Rourke believes he did not try to leave. But, given his blood alcohol content at the time of the crash, O’Rourke’s memory 20 years after the fact is not nearly as credible as the police reports written just hours after the crash [You think.],’ The Post wrote.

‘O’Rourke could have dodged the question during the debate or he could have said his memory of the night is not clear. Instead, he chose to dispute the factual record. We also believe in second chances, and O’Rourke should revise his answer if given another opportunity. In the meantime, he earns four Pinocchios,’ The Post wrote.
A rating of four Pinocchios is the fact checker’s top rating for lack of truth in a politician’s claim [Lying.].

In the wake of last night's debate - which drew a clear contrast between Ted Cruz and liberal [Leftist] Beto O'Rourke - The New York Times [NYT] (!!) called Beto out for falsely denying that he called police officers ‘the new Jim Crow [Seriously?].’
Here’s what the NYT reported:
‘In one of the sharpest exchanges of the night, Mr. Cruz argued that Mr. O’Rourke often sided against the police, and accused the congressman of describing law enforcement officers as ‘modern day Jim Crow.’ Mr. Cruz added, ‘I think it is offensive to call police officers modern day Jim Crow [It is also WRONG.]. That is not Texas.’’
Mr. O’Rourke denied that he described police officers that way. But on Wednesday, at a town hall event at Prairie View A&M University, a historically black college in Prairie View, Texas, Mr. O’Rourke had complained about racism within the criminal justice system, including racial profiling and unjust police shootings of people of color [Which is nonsense. Overwhelmingly, Blacks shoot Blacks. Just as overwhelmingly, whites shoot whites. It is the Left’s normal alteration of facts. Also known as lying.].
According to a video clip of part of his speech, Mr. O’Rourke referred to a system in which police officers suspect, search and shoot people ‘solely based on the color of their skin,’ and added, ‘It is why some have called this, and I think it is an apt description, the new Jim Crow.’

The Morrissey campaign attacked Manchin for voting ‘against President Trump’s efforts to repeal and replace Obamacare.’

West Virginia has five members in Congress consisting of three members in the House of Representatives and two Senators. All three members in the House are Republicans. Joe Manchin is a Leftist Senator. The other Senator is an Establishment Republican who was a member of the House of Representatives before being elected to the Senate in 2014 when the Republicans took control of the Senate.

Democrats reeling from a devastating election face a daunting task: the 2018 Senate map.
It favors Republicans in a big way. The GOP will be defending just eight seats, while Democrats must fight for 23 - plus another two held by independents who caucus with Democrats [The so-called independents are not. They are Leftists just as are all members of the Democrat Party who have been elected to the Senate. The Democrat Party at the federal level is controlled by Leftists. One must be a Leftist to get support from the Party. There is no Democrat Party at the federal level in the historical sense of the Democrat Party.].
What’s worse is the fact that many of the seats they must defend are in states won by Republican Donald Trump.
Midterm elections for sitting presidents are historically challenging. Democrats in the Senate are hoping to find some political momentum for 2018 given the difficult playing ground.
Here are 10 Senate seats that could flip, in alphabetical order

01) Bill Nelson (Leftist-Florida)
Democrats [Leftists] came into 2016 bullish about the Sunshine State.
But Republican incumbent Marco Rubio’s decision to run for reelection [After unsuccessfully seeking the Republican nomination for President.] cleared the muddled field and, ultimately, a surge in rural Republican voters outpaced Democrats’ gains in cities and with Hispanics. When the dust settled, Trump won by 1 percentage point, while Rubio held on to his seat by 8 points.
Nelson, a three-term senator, is a well-known commodity in Florida, having held public office there since 1972. And he starts with a net 14-point approval rating, according to an October poll from Public Policy Polling.
Possible challengers could include term-limited Governor Rick Scott [Received the nomination.] (R), a Trump ally, or any of the politicians who eyed the seat in 2016, including outgoing GOP Representatives David Jolly or Ron DeSantis [Received the Republican nomination for Governor.].
Millionaire Carlos Beruff and Lieutenant Governor Carlos Lopez-Cantera, both 2016 candidates, could also jump in. But the two are Scott allies, so it’s unlikely either would challenge the governor should he decide to run.”

Casey has won big even in the tight state - he defeated incumbent GOP [Republican] Senator Rick Santorum by 18 points in 2006 and won reelection by 9 points in 2012.
This year, GOP [Republican] Senator Pat Toomey won reelection by 2 points, bucking all the polls, and the electorate only stands to become more favorable for Republicans in an off year.
Potential candidates could include two early Trump backers in Congress, Representatives Lou Barletta and Tom Marino, or others such as Representative Pat Meehan. State Senate Majority Leader Jake Corman is another who could consider a bid, but many are in a holding pattern until Governor Tom Wolf (D) decides whether he’ll seek reelection.
