I am writing to express my disappointment in your department’s final rule on ‘Nondiscrimination in Health Programs and Activities.’ This rule disregards the freedom of medical practitioners to refuse to perform treatments that they believe will seriously and permanently harm their patients. Your mandate forces medical practitioners to violate the Hippocratic Oath [And is morally obscene!].
The State of North Dakota and several other institutions in North Dakota recently filed suit against you for this dangerous mandate. I am writing in support of their suit. I ask you to immediately revoke this mandate to protect the freedom of medical practitioners.

On November 15th, the D.C. Council voted in favor of physician-assisted suicide when they adopted the controversial B-21-38, the ‘Death with Dignity Act.’ By a margin of 11 votes ‘for’ to 2 votes ‘against.’ This shocking vote came as DC residents lined up to oppose this deadly measure. Among the opposition stood African American residents in the city, disability rights advocates, medical professionals, and others.
However, this fight is not over, because Congress also must approve the measure before it becomes law [Only Congress can constitutionally pass laws for DC!].
As you know, physician-assisted suicide is unnecessary, unethical, and unsafe. In short, allowing physicians to take part in killing their patients fundamentally changes the role of the doctor. A doctor must preserve life, not end it. [We already allow them to murder unborn babies! This is another extension of the immoral agenda of the Left!]

Leona Redmond, a D.C. resident and community activist, claims ‘[B-21-38] is really aimed at old black people. Redmond fears, through ‘[B-21-38] politicians will continue to make cost cuts a higher priority than healthcare for the poor and elderly.’
D.C. physicians lined up to oppose B-21-38. The earliest versions of the Hippocratic oath state, ‘The regimen I adopt shall be for the benefit of my patients … and not for their hurt or for any wrong. I will give no deadly drug to any, though it be asked of me, nor will I counsel such.’ And yet, under B-21-38, doctors will begin killing their patients.
This bill is wrongly titled, ‘death with dignity.’ There is nothing dignified or compassionate about a doctor killing a patient. It is simply wrong [Just as murdering unborn babies is WRONG!].
If U.S. Congress votes to support physician-assisted suicide in the nation’s capital, how long will it be before they support it in their home district.
Please do not be mistaken. Physician-assisted suicide, if accepted by Congress for D.C., will not be rare. It will become commonplace and less than voluntary. In fact, in Canada and Oregon, where physician-assisted suicide is legal; sick patients are already being pressured to end their lives, rather than receive necessary care.
This summer, three elderly members of a church in the rural province of Québec found out they had cancer. Immediately after delivering the cancer diagnosis, the first question their doctors asked them was, ‘Do you wish to be euthanized.’
Our elderly and our sick deserve to be loved, cherished and respected. Assisted suicide disposes of the weak in our society. Do we really want to allow that to happen in our nation’s capital?

When her children’s school district secretly opened its schools’ restrooms to the opposite sex and then opened the girls’ locker room to a boy, Vicki Wilson took action [Good for her! What every parent should do in school districts that attempt to impose the transsexual nonsense upon them!]. She organized a coalition of 51 families in the Palatine, Illinois area to advocate for the right to privacy and safety of all students.

We all have to have a hobby, and mine is attending school board meetings. There’s a group of us in the Palatine, Illinois area who have been involved with local education for some time, so when the news broke that the U.S. Department of Education was threatening our school district with removing federal funding if administrators didn’t allow a boy into the girls’ locker rooms, we were all shocked [Didn’t learn about it from a school board meeting? How non-transparent!].
A student at our high school—Student A—is anatomically male [He is a male; not a female!], but identifies as female [He is delusional!]. Represented by his parents, he filed a complaint against the school district with the U.S. Department of Education for ‘discrimination on the basis of sex [What nonsense. Transsexual is not a sex! There are only two sexes—male and female. He is a male!]’ because the school district would not allow him to access the girls’ locker room [Exactly as it should be since he is a male!]. To accommodate the student, the school even went so far as to install a bank of lockers in a private bathroom and offered that friends of the student who were also comfortable changing there could be assigned lockers in that area so that the student wouldn’t have to change alone [Why? This capitulates to the delusion! It is a waste of taxpayer money.]. This didn’t satisfy the student [Schools are to accommodate the delusions of students? He has other choices. Use the boys’ facility, attend a private school, home school. His choice should not be to dictate to a public school that is responsible for the wellbeing of ALL students!], or the Department of Education which subsequently threatened to strip federal funding for the school district [The Department of Education does not have the legal authority to do so!]. As settlement discussions continued, parents with daughters at the school began calling to tell us that the school had put up privacy curtains in the locker room [What? More waste of taxpayer money. Are there privacy curtains around each showerhead? Just how private are these privacy curtains? What nonsense! This would not be happening in a moral, sane nation! The federal government has NO constitutional authority over any part of education! The Department of Education should be abolished as the unconstitutional entity that it is!].
Moms kept explaining to me that some people think, ‘Oh, well if there are privacy curtains, then it’s no big deal [What?].’ What those people don’t understand is that the boy who identifies as transgender is still walking past the other girls—while they’re getting undressed—on his way to and from the curtain. And a lot of these girls knew him as a boy during junior high or elementary school [Because he was and is a boy!].
The girls in our high school were very stressed and very uncomfortable [As they should be!]. Studies show that up to 25% of girls will have been sexually abused by the time they’re 18, so our high school, like every high school, has girls who’ve experienced abuse [Even if there was not a single instance of abuse, this would be morally reprehensible!]. For all girls, the presence of a boy is a privacy violation [Of course it is!]. But for girls who have been abused, it can cause more significant psychological and emotional trauma [The radical Left does not care! They also do not care about that individual boy. They care only about advancing their radical agenda. Collateral damage is unimportant to them!].
ADF [Alliance Defending Freedom] sent administrators a letter explaining that the school didn’t need to give in on this, and federal law was on their side. Unfortunately, the school district chose to ignore that input [Not unusual for many school boards! I don’t know if this particular board is in actual control of board policy or not. Many boards defer to the hired administration. I don’t know the position of the administration. I do know this. The boards are legally responsible for policy and no board should ever allow boys to be treated as girls because the boys are living a delusional fantasy!].
So, a group of us parents launched the D211 [Palatine-Schaumburg School District 211] Parents for Privacy group, meeting in one of the parent’s houses. We scrambled to respond—launching a website, handing out flyers, starting a Facebook page, getting on the radio … the goal was to motivate parents and community members to attend the next school board meeting, where this issue would be discussed.

Over 400 parents attended that meeting. The board allowed two hours for public comments, and about 90 percent were in favor of privacy. Some of the girls bravely spoke out at the board meeting and shared how this policy affects them. Not an easy thing to do in our community [Probably not in many communities!].
The school board made their decision, voting 5-2 [Illinois school boards have elections in the spring of odd numbered years. That means in the spring of 2017 three board members are up for reelection according to its website. See above. Regardless of the outcome of the lawsuit, every board member who voted against the girls of their school system should be voted out of office! Everyone of them!]. The settlement agreement they set forth was limited to this one student, who agreed verbally to change behind the curtain. But the Department of Education tried to change the terms of the agreement the next day. Three days later, the Board called another meeting. We tried to organize and motivate people to come out again, but most people were confused about why there was a second meeting. Unfortunately, the ACLU [American Civil Liberties Union which is concerned with the radical Left agenda and NOT civil liberties] was more effective in motivating people from outside our community [Not unusual! They are organized to get protesters in support of their radical agenda to events while local residents actually have lives to live!] to come, including many LGBT [homosexual] activists—so the meeting wasn’t actually representative of our community at all [The Board should have known that to be the case. Whether or not they did is another question.]. The original settlement, which didn’t protect the rights of all students, remained intact.
At this point, we realized we had tried everything. The only way to protect our girls was through legal action [Until the next board election. Illinois does not have recall elections. It should.].
I’m one of the only parents in the group who has chosen to speak out publicly about the case and my concerns as a parent. Our group has been called a bigoted hate group [Name calling is a prominent propaganda tool used by the radical Left! Anyone and everyone who disagrees with them are bigoted, sexist, racist, homophobes! And intolerant! The most intolerant people in this nation are those who scream tolerance. Tolerance for me but not for thee!] by other speakers at the Board meetings. But so far, I haven’t faced many attacks as a result of speaking out, except online [A most popular means of attack! Online and anonymous!]. I wasn’t worried about myself, anyway—but I was worried about my son. Once [Only once! Amazing!], people targeted my son by name in comments on an online article. But he’s actually handled all the uproar very well.
I was nervous about speaking at the press conference to announce the lawsuit. The idea of standing at the federal building in Chicago to face a small army of reporters, their cameras snapping away, was nerve-wracking.
But in the end, I wasn’t alone, after all.
Because of their concerns with remaining anonymous, the other parents who came to the press conference were given the option of standing in an area off to the side where they couldn’t be seen. But when it came down to it, most of them decided they were willing to stand behind me … literally. In fact, so many parents wanted to stand behind me that we ran out of room for them all. We stood as a united front to face them together, parents and our legal advocates [As it should be!].
A local pastor who has stood by our parents group since the beginning came for the press conference [Every local pastor and elder should be! The churches need to be involved in this!], and one of the ADF attorneys asked him to lead us in prayer. So right there, in front of all the press, we had a prayer huddle [Amen!]. That was the best part of the day—the moment all my nervousness disappeared [Prayer will do that!].
It’s great to have so much support. The 51 families in this lawsuit are a group of people who are willing and committed to stand up for their children [Good for them! Do not let the federal government bully you into submission! The federal government and the local school board are in the wrong!]—and the children who come after them. It’s wonderful to have like-minded parents who are willing to stick together and like-minded attorneys, like those from ADF, who are willing to protect our children [A good and decent organization. The direct opposite of the ACLU!]. I am so grateful for ADF, for all their hard work on our behalf.
I think it’s important that we show our kids that there are some principles worth fighting for [Agreed!], no matter the personal cost [Completely! The Left relies upon the general public NOT being willing to fight their radical agenda!]. Protecting privacy for our children is one of those principles that is worth the insults, the mockery, the social media ridicule, and the intolerance from those pushing anti-privacy policies on our schools [It is fighting for morality over immorality!].
Our parents group continues to go to school board meetings, educating the community. We’re also preparing for the next school board election [Exactly what they need to do!], so we can get some folks in leadership who will listen to the community. We’ll likely have a preliminary ruling in our legal case this fall [I am not aware of one yet.].
Our hope is that we win, of course, so that our children’s bathrooms and locker rooms can again be private, safe spaces for those of the specified biological sex, with accommodations for students with unique needs. Yes, we believe in providing those accommodations—we just want [to] respect privacy, and safety for all students, too.
To other parents facing this issue in their school district, I’d say: don’t give up [Don’t surrender; don’t capitulate.]! Find other parents, go to your school board meetings, learn who’s on your school board and talk to them one-on-one [and learn their position on this issue. No one who supports boys invading the privacy of girls should be a member of a school board anywhere!]. Get organized, and don’t give up hope. There really is a way to protect and respect everybody.
We’re living in a very strange time right now, where the social pendulum has swung so far to one side [Not by the majority. However, if the majority remains silent and/or inactive then the small active, intimidating, bullying minority will take the day. It has happened in Germany (Hitler), Russia (Lenin/Stalin), Cuba (Castro) and elsewhere. It should not and need not happen in the USA! We are in a cultural/moral war. It is past time that we realize it and take back our nation!]. But if we hope to swing it back to middle ground, then it is our duty to stay strong, speak out, and stand up for what’s right for our children and grandchildren.”
