I was late posting Friday. Morton, my hometown, had a double-header basketball games—girls’ varsity basketball followed by a boys’ varsity game. I general just watch girls’ games. The girls’ are back to back Illinois Class 3A, out of 4 classes, State Champions and are 8-0 this season. It’s exciting basketball. Both Morton teams won Friday night.
However, I did not post until early Saturday morning and therefore decided not to post Saturday night. Keeping with my policy not to post on Sunday, I am posting the normal Saturday post now and will post Monday’s Monday Night. I have had this post planned for awhile so will do so this morning.

1) In a gunfight, the most important rule is ….. HAVE A GUN [Hard to win a gunfight unless you have, at least, one gun. Two are better than one.]!!!
These are shooting tips from various Concealed Carry Instructors. If you own a gun, you will appreciate these rules … If not, you should get one, learn how to use it and learn the rules.
[Other] RULES:
2) Guns have only two enemies: rust and politicians [Not all politicians. The enemy usually calls themselves Democrats and they are advocates of the Left’s from the womb (murdering unborn babies) to the tomb control, control, control agenda.].
3) Its always better to be judged by 12 [jurors] than carried by 6 [pallbearers] [If it is him/her or them, better them than me.].
4) Cops carry guns to protect themselves, not you [Unless they are part of a security team protecting a VIP. Have you noticed the Left wants guns out of our hands but has no problem with security teams for themselves! We are our own security!].
5) Never let someone or something that threatens you get inside arm’s length [Shoot first and often; ask questions later.].
6) Never say ‘I’ve got a gun [Or, drop your gun. Why I could never be a policeman. If they shoot first, you are probably going to lose. You do not want to lose a gunfight.].’ If you need to use deadly force, the first sound they should hear is the safety clicking off or the hammer cocking.
7) The average response time of a 911 call is 23 minutes; the response time of a .357 is 1400 feet per second [Time is of the essence!].
8) The most important rule in a gunfight [after having a gun] is: Always Win—there is no such thing as a fair fight. Always Win—cheat if necessary [They will if they can. They lie too.]. Always Win—2nd place doesn’t count [Second place is the same as last place. There are no “do overs” or second chances!].
9) Make your attacker advance through a wall of bullets …. You may get killed with your own gun, but he’ll have to beat you to death with it because it will be empty [Carry extra ammo and reload quickly].
10) If you’re in a gun fight: (a) If you’re not shooting, you should be loading. (b) If you’re not loading, you should be moving. (c) If you’re not moving, you’re [probably] dead.
11) In a life and death situation, do something …. it may be wrong, but do something [The first something is shooting!]!
12) If you carry a gun, people will call you paranoid. Nonsense! If you have a gun, what do you have to be paranoid about [And if you are paranoid, it is better to be paranoid than dead.]?
13) You can say ‘stop’ or any other word, but a large bore muzzle pointed at someone’s head is pretty much a universal language; and, you won’t have to press 1 for Spanish or 2 for Chinese or 3 for French [If they are armed, you should be shooting. If they shoot first, their chances of survival are greater than yours.].
14) Never leave an enemy behind. If you have to shoot, shoot to kill. In court, yours will be the only testimony [And keep shooting until they drop and you see blood flowing. Check to make sure they are dead, if you can safely. I once read a news account where a man was shot five times in the head and lived.].
15) You cannot save the planet, but you may be able to save yourself and your family [And that is always the goal. P.S. Don‘t EVER surrender your weapon(s).].
