I have read and good friends have sent me articles where an individual has argued that the moral choice for President in this election is Donald Trump. In one way or another, the article usually begins with “I did not support Donald Trump in the primary. However, ….”
Yesterday, I read an article on why it is not a moral choice to vote for Donald Trump. It may be a “lesser of two evils choice.” Then, there is this question. Whose morality? There are people who claim to be Christians who emphatically declare that murdering (Of course, they NEVER use the term murder) an unborn baby is moral. In this post, moral is the morality established by GOD in the Bible. And, of course, there are people who disagree with the definition of morality as given in the Bible and/or interpret the Bible differently than the recognized standard. “He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. ”

After I read the article, I wrote the following:
“The author is a person who is NOT politically astute living in a dream world!”
This is one of his Subheadings:

I absolutely disagree. Donald Trump is a terrible candidate with numerous, major flaws. Donald Trump is not a Christian (by his actions, knowledge of Christianity, and words), is not a Constitutionalist, and is not a conservative.
I kid you not. One of his arguments as to why he is a good candidate is that he has raised great children. I wonder how much time the author has spent with his children. I wonder how much time Donald Trump spent with his children when they were growing up while he was becoming a billionaire? Who really raised the children? For that matter, which children of which of his three wives?
The author spent a good bit of his article writing about the Supreme Court and the tragedy that would befall the nation if Hillary Clinton appointed members of the court contrasted with all the perceived good that would result if Donald Trump appointed federal judges.
He wrote:
“But that is not all. Justice Ginsburg is 83, and she has had colon cancer, pancreatic cancer, and has a heart stent. Justice Kennedy is 80. Justice Breyer is 78. A President Clinton could possibly nominate three or four justices to the Supreme Court, locking in a far-left activist judiciary for perhaps 30 or more years [NOT if Congress would do its job and hold members of the court accountable! As I have said repeatedly, we have allowed the courts to be tyrannical! The Constitution does not give the courts the power and authority they have stolen! It would not be that difficult to rein in the courts and remove their power, if we had the will to do so! For that matter, if the Republicans maintain its majority in the Senate, every single appointment could be blocked! Every one! The problem is that Democrats FIGHT for court appointments when in power and when out of power. The Republicans do not fight even when in power!] She could also add dozens of activist judges to federal district courts and courts of appeals, the courts where 99% of federal lawsuits are decided. Judicial tyranny of the type we have seen when abortion rights and same-sex marriage were forced on the nation would gain a permanent triumph [As I recently pointed out, the Roe and Doe abortion decisions had a majority of Republican appointees voting to sanction the murder of unborn babies! Anthony Kennedy, who was the deciding vote on faux “homosexual marriage” was appointed by Republican Ronald Reagan! Having a Republican make appointments does not guarantee Constitutional judges! Far from it! I just can not imagine Donald Trump fighting for conservative judges when he is not a conservative! Ronald Reagan was and two of his three appointments were bad! We can not count on Republicans making acceptable appointments! It would be far better to end the illegal tyranny of the courts!]
The nation would no longer be ruled by the people and their elected representatives, but by unelected, unaccountable, activist judges who would dictate from the bench about whatever they were pleased to decree. [We are now!] And there would be nothing in our system of government that anyone could do to stop them [Absolutely NOT true! The author DOES NOT know the Constitution!].
That is why this election is not just about Hillary Clinton. It is about defeating the far left liberal agenda that any Democratic nominee would champion. Liberal Democrats are now within one Supreme Court justice of their highest goal: gaining permanent control of the nation with a five vote majority on the Supreme Court [It IS NOT constitutionally possible to gain control of the nation through the courts! It may happen but that is because we have stopped following the Constitution and that is OUR fault! Do you really think Donald Trump will save us from ourselves?] , and then relentlessly imposing every liberal policy on the nation not through winning elections but through a relentless parade of one Supreme Court decision after another [The author DOES NOT know the Constitution! Here is the hard truth. Once the Republicans gained control of Congress, if they were willing to expend the political capital necessary, they could have ended the murder of unborn babies and no doubt could have prevented the faux “homosexual marriage” decision! Both of which ARE patently unconstitutional!].”

“On Tuesday, syndicated radio host Laura Ingraham appeared on Fox News and called anyone who failed to vote for Donald Trump ‘immoral [She is an expert how?].’ I responded here. My main argument was this:
‘I have never made and will never make the argument that it is immoral for people to vote for Trump to stop Hillary. I understand that argument completely, and sympathize with it. But lying for Trump is immoral [Yes, it is!]. Pretending his boo-boos aren’t boo-boos is immoral. Pretending he’s something he’s not, and lying to your audience about it—that’s immoral. And most of all, pretending that those who make a different risk-reward calculation from yours are immoral—even while those people hold supposedly similar principles—is immoral. [We each have OUR OWN vote! It is OUR choice! Not someone else’s!]’
Now Ingraham has responded, in a piece titled, ‘The morality of voting for Trump: #NeverTrumpers fail to persuade as Dems focus on helping their candidate win [She sounds just like a Democrat! My view of morality is the ONLY acceptable view! You must accept my view as correct! You can not think for yourself!].’
And her response embodies the immorality about which I wrote. In order to justify her support for Donald Trump, Ingraham is forced to embrace and purvey a series of lies.
Those lies are why I don’t plan to vote for Trump.
She lies that Trump is conservative.
He isn’t [Agreed!]. That’s why I didn’t support him in the primaries, while Ingraham stumped for him: Trump wants to raise the deficit; he ripped Romney for being too tough on illegal immigration before changing his tune [And in both fights to STOP amnesty, Donald Trump was nowhere to be found! I know because I fought against amnesty twice. Donald Trump fought against amnesty ZERO times!], and even now tells The New York Times that his positions are negotiable; he said Obama was doing a great job and funded Hillary Clinton and paid her to come to his wedding; he supported same-sex marriage years ago [And still says that the illegal, unconstitutional court decision is the law of the land. It is NOT!] and has been utterly vague on religious freedom restoration laws on the state level; he backed partial-birth abortion [All abortion, at one time.] until five minutes ago and says Planned Parenthood does wonderful things [Murders unborn babies for profit!]; he wants to impose massive interventionist tariffs on free trade. There’s a reason Trump gave more money to Democrats than Republicans between 1980 and 2010 [Has he EVER given money to any pro-life organization before he ran for President as a Republican?].
She lies that anyone who opposes Trump is an establishment lackey.
That’s pure nonsense [A lie! The establishment, in general, supported Donald Trump over Senator Ted Cruz!]. The people loudly supporting Trump are alt-right ethnonationalist droogs and establishment Republican cheerleaders who make their money by ‘backing the nominee.’ Yes, there are the people who hold their noses and vote Trump, many of them conservative—and as I’ve said, I sympathize and consider whether they’re right every day. But those opposing Trump aren’t the establishment. Paul Ryan, Reince Preibus, and Mitch McConnell all support Trump. Ingraham whips herself into a lather attacking those leading establishment figures, then says that conservatives are establishment if we don’t follow their lead in bowing before Trump.
She lies that Trump won’t damage conservatism.
He already has [Absolutely!]. She’s the living proof. She’s lying for him every day, informing her audience of positions he doesn’t hold and blaming all his failures and evils on his opponents [Blame anyone and everyone except the person responsible! That is what Democrats do!].
She lies that other Republicans will stand up to Trump.
She knows that one’s a lie—she’s spent most of her career rightly blasting Republicans for caving to President Clinton and President Obama. Yet she somehow maintains that with Trump in power, Ryan and McConnell will turn into models of testicular fortitude [That is a laugh! I believe Rush Limbaugh is parroting the same nonsense although I’m not sure! I stopped listening to him when it was obvious that he was in the Trump camp while trying to claim neutrality. Maybe because he has golfed with Donald Trump. I don’t know why exactly he went to Donald Trump.] and that she won’t undercut them if they cross Trump.
Finally, she lies that opposing Trump means supporting Hillary [Total gibberish.].
This is the final resort of the ardent Trump supporter: if you won’t back their man, you must back his opponent. This is simple-minded. I don’t owe my vote to anyone. I certainly don’t owe it to Donald Trump. If I choose to vote for Trump, that’s one vote for Trump and one against Hillary. If I chose, God forbid, to vote for Hillary, that would be one vote for Hillary and one against Trump. If I choose neither, neither gains nor loses a vote.
This is called mathematics [And common sense!].
And by the way, I choose neither [Me too! That is why I am voting for Darrell Castle! There is a conservative alternative!]. Hillary Clinton is a terrible person, a cesspool of corruption and avarice. I wouldn’t vote for her if you put a gun to my head.
But Trump supporters don’t care about my vote or those of #NeverTrump— as Trump himself has said, we’re a small movement [He has said he doesn’t need us and doesn’t want us! He is NOT going to get me! That is a guarantee! And that IS a moral choice!]. No, they want us to lie alongside them. They want fellow shills. They want people who will spend all their time either ignoring Trump’s inanities and insanities or excusing them.
Lies are not conservative. Worshipful lies on behalf of a petty authoritarian narcissist are even less conservative.
Voting is one thing. Endorsing, praising, and promoting lies are another.
Here’s the simple fact: were it not for propagandists like Ingraham bellowing nonsense from the rooftops about Donald Trump as God’s gift to conservatism, I’d be far more likely to vote for him. But I cannot in good conscience vote for a man and a movement dedicated to hollowing out the conservative movement from the inside, then using it as a meat puppet for anti-Constitutional conservative, nationalist populist tripe. I believe the only way to defeat Hillary’s agenda is to defeat the left. And the left includes Donald Trump as well as Hillary [EXACTLY!], which is why I’m not voting for either of them [Neither am I!].
Laura Ingraham thinks she’s made a moral choice.
She has: to lie for Trump.
Those who don’t buy her lies aren’t abandoning the Republican Party or the country itself, though Ingraham accuses us of doing just that. We just think it’s immoral to lie. There is good logic and a moral argument for supporting Trump to stop Hillary. There is good logic and a moral argument to skipping the vote altogether, to supporting neither.
There is no logic or morality to lying to your audience.
Those at war with the truth are at war with conservatism.
And those ardent Trump supporters promoting Trump’s lies are the chief obstacle preventing the consolidation of conservatives around their man. They’ve turned a lesser-of-two-evils political decision into a decision about the future of the conservative soul. And they’re on the wrong side.”
The only conservative alternative in the race for President is Darrell Castle. There are five candidates who are on the ballot in at least 20 States. Darrell Castle is the ONLY conservative of those five candidates!
You can not win the election if you do not run for the office. You can not win the election if you do not get on the ballot.
