“How students across America are defying religious hostility and standing up for their faith
By: Nate Madden | October 06, 2016

Flouting a culture that tells them to keep their faith out of the public square [It is unconstitutional to tell anyone to keep their faith out of the public square. The 1st Amendment is in place to insure that ones faith is in the public square. The federal courts led by Leftists have deliberately rewritten the 1st Amendment to suit their ideology not the Constitution! There is no separation of church and Statein the Constitution as interpreted by the federal courts. We have been lied to for years and years!], students across the United States proudly exercised their First Amendment rights Thursday, with the simple act of taking their Bibles to school [They dont all the time?].

A project of Focus on the Family, the Christian organization expected more than 300,000 students all over the country—three times the number estimated last year—to participate in ‘Bring Your Bible to School Day.’ The annual observance encourages kids to share the hope and message of the gospel with the simple act of putting the Bible in their backpack and reading it when allowed [Which is anytime that is their time!].

In addition to sharing their witness with others in the classroom and lunchroom, some participating students—and even teachers—shared their experience via social media:

[screen shots on site]

Focus on the Family has a dedicated website for the event at BringYourBible.org, which answers frequently asked questions about what students can and can’t do as they ‘share God’s hope and celebrate religious freedom by doing something simple, yet powerful [They can talk just as much about GOD, JESUS, the HOLY SPIRIT, and the Bible as they can about Friday nights game!].’

But the estimated increase in the event’s participants is happening against the backdrop of increased religious repression throughout America’s public-schools system [Unconstitutional repression!].

In a press release for the event, several reports about students being ‘censored or punished for their faith’ are noted [All of which are unconstitutional if just based upon their faith!].

‘We are sponsoring this event for students (kindergarten through college) to provide a fun, celebratory way to empower them to understand what their religious freedom rights are at school—and also how they can put those rights into practice in everyday situations and conversations,’ Focus on the Family education analyst Candi Cushman told The Daily Signal.

‘We’ve been hearing from more students—and seeing news headlines reporting the same thing—who tell us they’ve been told they can’t engage in basic religious freedoms [Absolutely wrong!],’ she continued, ‘like having a Bible on their desk or reading it during free time or even simply bowing their head to say a silent prayer before lunch.’

And they aren’t the only ones who have noticed.

While students are allowed to take religious material into the classroom and read it during their free time every day of the year per the U.S. Constitution, misunderstandings and stigma over religion in the public often lead to the suppression of adherents’ rights to free speech and free expression [Too often it is intentional!].

‘Unfortunately, schools all too often censor religious expression for fear of violating the often-misunderstood ‘separation of church and state [There is NOseparation of church and Stateas interpreted by the federal courts!],’ for dislike of religious viewpoints, or for a desire [to] avoid controversy,’ reads a memo from Alliance Defending Freedom about the event, which seeks to clear up some of the confusion.

Furthermore, the actual results of the trends outlined above are a much bigger problem than one might think. An annual report from Texas-based First Liberty Institute released in February found that attacks on religion in the U.S. have doubled over the last three years [Led by the Obama Administration!], with a great many of these instances occurring in the schoolhouse.

‘These cases primarily involve school officials prohibiting students or teachers from sharing their faith or exercising their religious free speech rights,’ the report explains.

‘Many of these cases arise because of the misinformation that secularist organizations send annually to school officials, threatening lawsuits unless the school officials stamp out all religious expression within the school [They ought to be told to get lost!” Parents and students ought to be suing them for trying to suppress their constitutional rights and religious freedom! If they started losing a few lawsuits, they would stop trying to bully schools!].’

Despite these fears and misconceptions, students and teachers actually have a great deal of leeway at their local public school. At a lecture held at the Washington, D.C.-based Family Research Council in August, Gateways to Better Education president Eric Buehrer listed seven specific ways that students and faculty can live out their faith, without running afoul of education officials.

¨ Students can pray or read the Bible or devotional during free reading time throughout the school day. This doesn’t mean that kids can opt to read scripture in lieu of a math textbook, but it does mean they can read, pray, and speak freely amongst themselves about their faith.

¨ Students can start and advertise religious clubs, which have equal access to the same sorts of resources and afforded the same level of respect as other, non-academic clubs, based on the Equal Access Act.

¨ Students can express their religious freedom in their homework and classwork. So if your child turns in an essay about his faith in God, the teacher should grade it using the same standards applied to any other assignment.

¨ Teachers can pray with other teachers and hold Bible studies. While they cannot lead students in prayer [They can if asked by the students to do so!], teachers may schedule the school’s break room for prayerful fellowship and studying scripture.

¨ Students may also be eligible for religious release time, when they are allowed to leave campus for religious instruction without penalty. (Forty states have such laws.)

¨ Students can express their faith at school-sanctioned events. So if your child wants to sing a hymn for the school talent show, he is completely within his right to do so [Our high school has had a Bible centered instrumental/choir event before CHRISTmas for years! Absolutely constitutional!].

¨ Students can express their faith at a graduation ceremony. So efforts to sterilize these ceremonies of any mention of the theistic are not only unconstitutional, but they also go against proscribed federal government guidelines. If administrators get nervous, all they have to do is add a disclaimer to the event program stating that the religious expression is attributable to the student and not the school.

‘This generation of young people needs to understand and cherish religious liberty,’ said Bueher during the lecture. ‘Let’s not just treat it as a part of a civics lesson. Let’s help students live it out in their world, which is the public school campus.’”

The federal courts have unconstitutionally misinterpreted many sections of the Constitution and its Amendments. The First Amendment is one of the more egregious misinterpretations! To

Restore the Constitution
and
Take Back the Nation

we must correct these errors and interpret the Constitution and its Amendments as written and intended!

Acts 4: 27-31 (NIV)

“‘Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed. They did what your power and will had decided beforehand should happen [Crucify and murder the SON of GOD!]. Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.’

After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly [Prayer led to action!]”

James 2: 14-24 (NIV)

What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,’ but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead [Words by themselves, if they are not accompanied by action, are dead.].

But someone will say, ‘You have faith; I have deeds.’

Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.

You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. And the scripture was fulfilled that says, ‘Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,’ and he was called God’s friend. You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone [You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by words alone.].”

James 4: 17 (NIV)

If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesnt do it, it is sin for them.”

You can not win the election if you do not run for the office. You can not win the election if you do not get on the ballot.

Vote Darrell Castle for President. The Constitutional Conservative!
