While that defunding legislation concerns the domestic-based Planned Parenthood [Planned Murderhood] abortion [murder of babies within the womb] corporation, President Trump has the ability to put in place an executive order that would revoke funding for its International affiliate.
When pro-abortion [murder of babies within the womb] former President Barack Obama took office, Obama overturned a policy that prevented funding of groups that promote or perform abortions [murders of babies within the womb] overseas. The Mexico City Policy covered over $400 million in federal funds, part of which flowed to the abortion [murder of babies within the womb] businesses International Planned Parenthood [Planned Murderhood] and Marie Stopes International [See petition to stop funding international illegal abortions above which includes more than US funds] for their foreign efforts.

SIGN THE PETITION! Congress Must De-Fund Planned Parenthood Immediately
Obama’s decision to force Americans to pay for promoting and performing abortions overseas was not a popular one [This article was written on February 2, 2009].
Reacting to the decision in a poll conducted by the Gallup organization, 58 percent of Americans opposed Obama’s pro-abortion [murder of babies within the womb] decision while just 35 percent support it and 7 percent have no opinion.
Breaking down the new poll further, Gallup asked respondents to state their opinion on seven major actions President Obama has taken since becoming president. Overturning the Mexico City Policy engendered more opposition than any of the other actions and it had the lowest level of support.
The pro-abortion [murder of babies within the womb] move also evoked the least support from Democrats and the most opposition from Republicans and independents.
While 59 percent of Democrats supported the move, it came in last among the seven total issues on which Gallup surveyed.
Only 8 percent of Republicans backed overturning the limits as did just 33 percent of the independent voters surveyed—with opposition higher about this action than any other Obama has taken a president.
The results of the Gallup poll are based on telephone interviews with 1,027 adults across the country and were conducted January 30-February 1.

A cultural political football, the policy was first enacted by President Ronald Reagan in 1984 and was maintained by President George H.W. Bush [12 years on] until it was rescinded first by Democratic President Bill Clinton in 1993 [8 years off]. Eight years later, President George W. Bush reinstated Mexico City and it was in effect [8 years on] until Barack Obama reversed it upon entering office in 2009 [8 years off and now back on for, at least, 4 years].

Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser quietly signed an assisted suicide bill into law on December 19, 2016 after a majority of the city council voted for it.
Under the U.S. Constitution, the Congress has exclusive legislative authority over the District of Columbia [United States Constitution Article I Section 8 ¶ 17: “To exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may, by Cession of particular States, and the Acceptance of Congress, become the Seat of the Government of the United States, and to exercise like Authority over all Places purchased by the Consent of the Legislature of the State in which the Same shall be, for the Erection of Forts, Magazines, Arsenals, dock-Yards, and other needful Buildings;—And ….” So, why is the Washington D. C. Council making law? Because Congress unconstitutionally delegated its authority to another body not provided for in the Constitution.]. Congress has just 30 legislative days to review a law of the District of Columbia once it is passed by the city government [Not according to the Constitution. According to the law that delegated Congressional authority to another governmental body that has no such authority.]. Resolutions of disapproval must be passed by both houses and be signed by the president to block a D.C. law.
In a race against time, the first step to block the assisted suicide law was taken January 12, 2017 by U.S. Senator James Lankford (R-Oklahoma) who introduced introducing [sic] a resolution in the U.S. Senate that opposes D.C.’s ‘Death With Dignity Act [What is dignified about being murdered or turning another into a murderer? Another misnamed law by the Left!]’.
A companion resolution was introduced in the U.S. House by Representative Brad Wenstrup (R-Ohio) and Representative Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) also said that he would push to block the law.
COMPASSION AND CHOICES [Isn’t this the same mantra used by the baby murderers to promote the murder of babies within the womb? Problem is it is not compassion to murder babies in the womb and it is not compassion to murder people just because they might want to die. Suicide is against the law and there are very valid reasons why. Allowing another to commit murder is NEVER valid! Thou shalt not murder does not have any exceptions! The organization also emphasizes ‘the importance of including your personal testimony’ as ‘often the most effective way to change the minds of lawmakers’.

Background
While many legislators (as well as the public) are persuaded by the ‘safeguards’ to support assisted suicide laws, the Washington D.C. bill has many of the same problems with ‘safeguards’ that other assisted suicide bills have. (For example, see my blogs “The slippery Slope-Tactics in the Assisted Suicide Movement” and “Pain and ‘Choice’’ .)
In the D.C. assisted suicide law, such problems include:
1) The extraordinary immunity protections against civil, criminal liability or professional disciplinary actions for doctors [Makes doctors murderers. It does not matter if a government approves the murder or not.] who participate in ‘good faith compliance’ with the law.
2) Protection from life or annuity insurance problems due to suicide (‘Neither may a qualified patient’s at [sic] I believe it is suppose to say “act.”] of ingesting a covered medication have an effect upon a life, health, accident, insurance, or annuity policy [I don’t believe a government body can void a valid contract by law. It makes a mockery of any contract if a government body can void it by law! Who is giving them legal advice? Provisions for payout being voided by suicide are in the contracts for valid reasons!]’)
3) Minimal reporting requirements and secrecy in public records (‘The Department will generate and make available to the public an annual statistical record of information collected’) Emphasis added.
4) Require mental health evaluation only for the purpose of determining if the person is mentally capable to make the decision to end his or her life. (‘‘Counseling’ means one or more consultations as necessary between a state licensed psychiatrist or psychologist and a patient for the purpose of determining that the patient is capable and not suffering from a psychiatric or psychological disorder or depression causing impaired judgment [Can you imagine the ramifications? A parent is not going to be cared for in the home, has an estate of $250,000 which will be devoured in 3 or 4 years by a nursing home, and the child convinces the parent that assisted suicide/murder is best for the parent so that the child can inherit the estate! Not happen? Of course not. Seriously?].’)
CONCLUSION
There are many reasons to oppose legalizing assisted suicide including risk for elder abuse [Absolutely!], discrimination against people with disabilities [Already happening!] and/or terminal or chronic conditions [harvesting of vital organs], the destruction of the most basic rule of medical ethics to not kill patients or help them kill themselves [makes doctors an accomplice to murder or murderers themselves, suicide contagion, [It comes from the Left!] etc.

Life begins at conception. That life begins at conception is a biological, scientific fact. Life is protected from conception by the Constitution of the United States specifically in Amendment V and Amendment XIV.

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
Life for all persons within the United States including babies in the womb is guaranteed and protected by the Declaration of Independence, Amendment V of the United States Constitution, and Amendment XIV of the United States Constitution. No court, no government body, no individual can constitutionally sanction the murder of babies within the womb. All such decisions, laws, and regulations are patently unconstitutional and illegal and should be immediately abolished by Congress by law!
