“North Carolina LGBT [homosexual] activists fail in latest bid to repeal bathroom privacy bill

RALEIGH, North Carolina, December 22, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) —North Carolina’s much-criticized bathroom privacy bill, HB2, was nearly repealed this week at the instigation of the LGBT [homosexual] lobby, but the effort failed in the end.
Incoming Democratic Governor-elect Roy Cooper worked out a ‘compromise’ between Republicans who wanted to keep separate men’s and women’s intimate facilities and Democrats who wanted to create transgender [transsexual] and unisex bathrooms in schools and public buildings [Lesson to be learned: One can NOT “compromise” with the radical Left! If you let them put their foot in the doorway, they WILL try to push the door wide open and they often win because they were allowed to put their foot in the doorway, in the first place. One can NOT compromise. One must win! When did GOD ever allow compromising with EVIL?]. GOP legislators, who control the General Assembly by commanding margins, would repeal HB2 in exchange for the city of Charlotte repealing its law forcing transgender [transsexual] bathrooms—the ordinance that led to HB2 last February [A bad “compromise” from the beginning. The State was giving up much more than one city was even if the city actually kept its end of the deal. Remember: radical Leftists LIE!].
Outgoing Republican Governor Pat McCrory, who lost by less than 10,000 votes to Cooper in November, agreed to call a special legislative session to vote on the repeal of HB2.
However, the same day they repealed their ordinance, the Charlotte city council issued a statement promising to simply pass the same ordinance again once the state repealed HB2.[Some “compromise!?”] Additionally, the city council did not repeal its pro-transgender [transsexual] law entirely. They left in ‘sexual orientation’ and ‘gender [sex] identity’ anti-discrimination requirements for state contractors.
‘The City of Charlotte is deeply dedicated to protecting the rights of all people from discrimination [There is NO discrimination in requiring people who are male or female to use the facilities of their own sex! There IS discrimination against females when the law allows males to be identified as females when they are not!] and, with House Bill 2 repealed, will be able to pursue that priority for our community,’ council members promised in a statement. Durham city council members also promised to quickly pass transgender [transsexual] bathroom bills as soon as HB2 was repealed [Proving the law was needed for more cities and local governments than just Charlotte!].
Pro-marriage and pro-family lawmakers called that a deal breaker and balked at the repeal of HB2 [As well they should! Lesson to be learned: One can NOT “compromise” with the radical Left and EVIL!].
So Charlotte held another meeting Wednesday morning and repealed the entire city ordinance which had originally prompted HB2, unconditionally [How can they be trusted? It is like trusting a poisonous snake not to strike!].
Repeal was back on, temporarily.
In the meantime, many GOP lawmakers defended HB2. Republican Senator Buck Newton called Charlotte’s transgender [transsexual] bathroom law a ‘lunatic ordinance [Which it is.]’ enacted by ‘the lunatic Left [Which they are.].’
‘No economic [Sell your soul for thirty pieces of silver.], political or ideological pressure can convince me that what is wrong is right [Exactly.],’ Lieutenant Government Dan Forest said in a statement early Wednesday. ‘It will always be wrong for men [boys] to have access to women’s [girls’] showers and bathrooms [Correct.].’
To make sure Charlotte and other cities kept their end of the bargain in good faith, Republicans included in their repeal legislation a six-month temporary hold on any governing body ‘enact[ing] or amend[ing] an ordinance’ regulating access to public showers or restrooms [How about permanent?].
Pro-homosexual and pro-transgender [transsexual] lawmakers, in turn, called that a deal breaker [Good.].
As a last-ditch effort in a very tense special session Wednesday night, Senate President Pro Tempore Phil Berger, a Republican, suggested having two votes: one on the repeal of HB2 and one on the Republican-proposed six-month hold on new laws.
Repeal lost [Good. Sanity and morality won!].
In the end, Cooper’s deal fell apart: the state Senate defeated the bill to repeal HB2, and the state House simply adjourned. Democrats blamed Republicans, Republicans blamed Democrats, and homosexual activists condemned everybody [Typical.].
‘Roy Cooper and Senate Democrats killed the repeal,’ Berger said. ‘Their action (in not agreeing to a six month hold on new transgender bathroom laws) proves they only wanted a repeal in order to force radical social engineering and shared bathrooms across North Carolina, at the expense of our state’s families, our reputation and our economy [Of course.].’
Cooper expressed indignation. ‘I’m disappointed that we did not remove the stain [Only the radical Left would think a moral action is a stain.] on our great state,’ he said.
North Carolina Values Coalition’s Tami Fitzgerald said the majority of GOP legislators did the right thing by turning down repeal [Correct.], ‘stopping the move to cower and cave in to the City of Charlotte and the Human Rights Campaign [Standing up to bullying.].’
North Carolina has been embroiled in controversy all year over Charlotte’s transgender [transsexual] bathroom ordinance and HB2, which overruled it.
The nation joined the fray after HB2 was signed into law in March, with high-profile businesses like Google [Leftist. They locked me out of my blogs after I called for the impeachment of the five justices sanctioning sinful homosexual “marriage!”] and Apple [Leftist] seeking to pressure the state to repeal the gender [sex]-separate law. Bruce Springsteen, Cirque du Soleil, Pearl Jam, and Ringo Starr cancelled shows [Are they losing money? I hope so! No great lose because they canceled!], the NBA removed its All-Star Game [Placating Leftist Disney which owns ESPN and ABC sports], the NCAA relocated seven championship games [Placating Leftist Disney which owns ESPN and ABC sports], and PayPal, [Leftist] and Deutsche Bank [Isn’t this bank guilty of rigging the gold and silver markets? Yes!] nixed plans to expand in the state.
President Obama also weighed in, accusing HB2 of violating federal civil rights laws [An outright LIE! There are no such federal civil rights laws and being a transsexual IS NOT a civil right!].”
