Abolishing the murder of babies within the womb by Congressional law will actually be faster and more effective than waiting on the court. Right now there are five justices on the court who support the murder of babies within the womb. The four radical Leftist justices appointed by Democrat Presidents and Justice Kennedy. Therefore, to even have a chance of the court reversing, we need two more Constitutional Justices and the second one has to replace one of the five pro-murdering babies within the womb justices. Even then, it would take a couple of years, at least, to get the case through the court system.
Passing a law of Congress is the best way of ending the terror of our American holocaust. The best way to abolish the murder of babies within the womb. The best way to stop any State from passing a law allowing the murder of babies within the womb. And it is also best constitutionally.
Life for all persons within the United States including babies within the womb is guaranteed and protected by the Declaration of Independence, Amendment V of the United States Constitution, and Amendment XIV of the United States Constitution. No court, no government body, no individual can constitutionally sanction the murder of babies within the womb. All such decisions, laws, and regulations are patently unconstitutional and illegal and should be immediately abolished by Congress by law!
Statistically, everyday of delay over 2,700 babies are murdered in the womb through abortion using 1 million abortions a year as a baseline. It is past time to attack the evil of murdering babies within the womb on every front with every legal weapon we can use until the murder of babies within the womb is abolished completely throughout the United States and its territories. There is a movement afoot to have an Article V Constitutional Convention to amend the Constitution to repair the damage done to the Constitution over the years. Mark Levin initiated it, as far as I know, through his book with what he calls the Liberty Amendments. The Texas State Legislature in May passed the required application for a Constitutional Convention. Today’s post provides information from the group spearheading the drive for a Convention and a brief summary of the Liberty Amendments proposed by Mark Levin.

“1) The Problem
We see four major abuses perpetrated by the federal government.
These abuses are not mere instances of bad policy. They are driving us towards an age of ‘soft tyranny’ in which the government does not shatter men’s wills but ‘softens, bends, and guides’ them. If we do nothing to halt these abuses, we run the risk of becoming nothing more than ‘a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd.’ (Alexis de Tocqueville, Democracy in America, 1840)
1) The Spending and Debt Crisis
The $19 trillion national debt is staggering, but it only tells a part of the story. Under standard accounting practices, the federal government owes around $100 trillion more in vested Social Security benefits and other programs. This is why the government cannot tax its way out of debt. Even if it confiscated everything, it would not cover the debt.
2) The Regulatory Crisis
The federal bureaucracy has placed a regulatory burden upon businesses that is complex, conflicted, and crushing. Little accountability exists when agencies—rather than Congress—enact the real substance of the law. Research from the American Enterprise Institute shows that since 1949, federal regulations have lowered the real GDP growth by 2% and made America 72% poorer.
3) Congressional Attacks on State Sovereignty
For years, Congress has been using federal grants to keep the states under its control. Combining these grants with federal mandates (which are rarely fully funded), Congress has turned state legislatures into their regional agencies rather than respecting them as truly independent republican governments.
A radical social agenda and an invasion of the rights of the people accompany all of this. While significant efforts have been made to combat this social erosion, these trends defy some of the most important principles.
4) Federal Takeover of the Decision-Making Process
The Founders believed that the structures of a limited government would provide the greatest protection of liberty. Not only were there to be checks and balances between the branches of the federal government, power was to be shared between the states and federal government, with the latter only exercising those powers specifically granted in the Constitution.
Collusion among decision-makers in Washington, D.C., has replaced these checks and balances. The federal judiciary supports Congress and the White House in their ever-escalating attack upon the jurisdiction of the fifty states.
We need to realize that the structure of decision-making matters. Who decides what the law shall be is as important as what is decided. The protection of liberty requires a strict adherence to the principle that power is limited and delegated.
Washington, D.C., does not believe this principle, as evidenced by an unbroken practice of expanding the boundaries of federal power. In a remarkably frank admission, the Supreme Court rebuffed a challenge to the federal spending power despite acknowledging that power had grown far beyond the bounds envisioned by the Founders:
‘This framework has been sufficiently flexible over the past two centuries to allow for enormous changes in the nature of government. The Federal Government undertakes activities today that would have been unimaginable to the Framers in two senses; first, because the Framers would not have conceived that any government would conduct such activities; and second, because the Framers would not have believed that the Federal Government, rather than the States, would assume such responsibilities. Yet the powers conferred upon the Federal Government by the Constitution were phrased in language broad enough to allow for the expansion of the Federal Government’s role [Absolutely not true. It is a lie.].’

What Does this Mean?
This is not a partisan issue. Washington, D.C., will never voluntarily relinquish meaningful power—no matter who is elected [Never is a very long time. Can this be proven? To state as a fact that the process the speaker or writer wants is the only way to proceed. It is intended to end debate and make any decision a foregone conclusion. It is total nonsense.] conclusion is this: unless some political force outside of Washington, D.C., intervenes, the federal government will continue to bankrupt this nation, embezzle the legitimate authority of the states, and destroy the liberty of the people.
2) The Solution
We are approaching a crossroads.
One path leads to the escalating power of an irresponsible centralized government, ultimately resulting in the financial ruin of generations of Americans. The other path leads to the restoration of liberty and an American renaissance.
The correct path can be found within Article V of the United States Constitution [According to them.].
‘The Congress, whenever two thirds of both houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose amendments to this Constitution, or, on the application of the legislatures of two thirds of the several states, shall call a convention for proposing amendments, which, in either case, shall be valid to all intents and purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the legislatures of three fourths of the several states, or by conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other mode of ratification may be proposed by the Congress; provided that no amendment which may be made prior to the year one thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any manner affect the first and fourth clauses in the ninth section of the first article [The first clause deals with slavery and the fourth clause addresses taxes.]; and that no state, without its consent, shall be deprived of its equal suffrage in the Senate.’ ~ Article V, United States Constitution

Over the past year, I have dedicated my time to helping elect conservatives in an effort to ensure that at least one political party represents our constitutional form of government. But even as I sweat and toil for this endeavor, I have realized that elections are not enough to restore our liberty. In fact, it is scandalous that our liberties should be subject to the outcome of elections in the first place.
What if we are not successful in electing more Constitutional conservatives? What if the statists outgun us with all the special interest money they received in return for their votes against the Constitution? Should we be denied our liberty just because we lack the parallel resources to convince low information voters that they have no right to infringe upon our liberties?
These are the questions our Founders dealt with when they warned of Elective Despotism, the ability of sleazy politicians to manipulate a ‘majority rule’ system to limit the rights of the individual. That’s why they created a Republican form of government, one which only granted the federal government enumerated powers, irrespective of which party or group of individuals obtains political power.
Sadly, we have deviated from our constitutional form of government over the past century. That’s why Mark Levin has written The Liberty Amendments, a set of proposed constitutional amendments that will unambiguously downsize the federal government by targeting specific loopholes [What loopholes? The problem is not loopholes. The problem is that all three branches deliberately violate the clear wording of the Constitution. The Constitution is not ambiguous.] that have allowed the statists to adulterate our Constitution. Far from this being a radically new vision, Levin proves—through founding documents and floor debates at the Constitutional Congress—how his ideas are in line with what the Founders envisioned in our Federal government [Then why didn’t they incorporate them into the Constitution? For one reason or another, they must have been rejected by a majority of delegates. Correct? These were not ignorant people.]. It’s just that after years of deviating from the Constitution, it has become clear that we need very specific limitations on federal abuses—abuses that have gone far beyond the imagination of our Founders—in order to restore the Republic [There are not clear limits incorporated into the Constitution at the present time?].
Mark Levin is proposing ten amendments to the Constitution. Each one is written in thoughtful language so as to preclude any ancillary problems [Really?]:
01) Term Limits: He proposes limiting service in both the House and Senate to 12 years. Yes, we’ve heard all the arguments about elections being the best limit. But the past 100 year has proven that to be false [According to whom? If so, why? The fault of the election process or the fault of the participants in the election? Prove that it will be any different under term limits. Barack Hussein Obama was term limited. How did that work out?]. As someone who works day and night to throw the bums out, I can tell you that is nearly impossible to throw them out with the amount of money they raise [So, if money wins elections, how will term limits stop the Left from supporting the same type of candidate who was term limited? Barack Hussein Obama was followed by Hillary Clinton who was considered to be more of the same. Term limits didn’t change the outcome, the election changed the outcome.]—precisely for their abuses of power. Levin also proves that limiting time in office was a highly regarded proposal during the Constitutional Congress [However, it was not accepted, or was it?].
02) Repealing the 17th Amendment: Levin proposes repealing the 17th amendment and vesting state legislators with the power to elect senators so that the power of states is not diluted, as originally feared by the framers of the Constitution [Which is a return to the original situation. Of course, 3/4th of the States approved the 17th Amendment, in the first place. It is not as if the States did not have a say in the change. The States approved the change.].
03) Restoring the Judiciary to its proper role: The Judiciary was never meant to be an all-powerful institution in which five men in robes have the final say over every major policy battle in the country. In order to end judicial tyranny, Levin proposes limiting service to one 12-year term, and granting both Congress and the state legislatures the authority to overturn court decisions with the vote of three-fifths of both houses of Congress or state legislative bodies.
04) Limiting Taxation and Spending: Levin proposes a balanced budget amendment, limiting spending to 17.5% of GDP [Even in times of war?] and requiring a three-fifths vote to raise the debt ceiling. He also proposes limiting the power to tax to 15% of an individual’s income, prohibiting other forms of taxation, and placing the deadline to file one’s taxes one day before the next federal election.
05) Limiting bureaucracy: He proposes an amendment to limit and sunset federal regulations and subject the existence of all federal departments to stand-alone reauthorization bills every three years.
06) Defining the Commerce Clause: Levin writes an amendment that, while technically unnecessary, is practically an imperative to restoring the original intent of the Commerce Clause. The amendment would make it clear that the commerce clause grants not power to actively regulate and control activity; rather to prevent states from impeding commerce among other states, as Madison originally intended.

08) Allowing State Legislature to Amend the Constitution: Although the Framers intentionally made it difficult to amend the Constitution, they did so to preserve the Republic they created. However, the progressives have illegally altered our Republic through a silent and gradual coup without using the amendment process [This is most definitely true and was and is most definitely unconstitutional.]. If we are going to successfully push the aforementioned amendments, we will need an easier mechanism to force them through. The proposed amendment allows states to bypass Congress and propose an amendment with support of just two-thirds of the states (instead of three-fourths) and without convening a convention.
09) State Authority to Override Congress: A proposed amendment to allow states to override federal statutes by majority vote in two-thirds of state legislatures. The last two proposals are rooted in the idea that the states only agreed to the Constitution on condition that their power would not be diluted and that all federal power is derived from the states [Have not the States allowed this power grab by the federal government and the Left?].
10) Protecting the Vote: A proposal to require photo ID for all federal elections and limit early voting.
Taken as a whole, there is no doubt that these amendments would restore our Republican form of government. Every proposal is backed up by scholarly analysis of the Framers’ view on the proposal, an overview of what has changed since the founding, and the rationale for why the proposal is necessary. You should read the entire book. As someone who is busy reading all the current news every day, this is the only political book I made time to read all year.

Is this appropriate for a conservative?] conservatives out there will pessimistically dismiss this as an impossible pipe dream; the same people who scoff upon our ability to throw out terrible Republicans in primaries … until we successfully do so. However, it is quite evident that nothing will change substantially, even if we win an election here or there, until we strike out at lynchpins of power within the current system [What is the best way to accomplish this?]. No proposal will be successful overnight. This will take years or decades. But it is a goal worth pursuing [Is there an easier, better way?].
Remember, many of the principles of the Tea Party were dormant for many years, and have now filtered into the mainstream.
Moreover, this is a goal that is designed to empower the states [Do the States want the power? The States let that same power slip through their fingers over the decades.] and work as a bottom-up movement. Hence, it is a more achievable goal [Prove it. Saying it, does not make it so.]. Pursuing these amendments will make state legislative races more consequential, as they should be [Which means the Left will spend more money on State races too.]. Recent history has shown that we have enjoyed our biggest success on a state legislative level because a dedicated group of conservatives with limited resources can achieve more success on a more local level [Or we have concentrated on the States and the people in said States are feed up with Leftist control at the federal level. Barack Hussein Obama’s eight years in the White House was the best thing going for Republicans in numerous States.]. Once we begin taking over state legislatures and passing some of these amendments, we can force all viable candidates to support these proposals [Force? The democratic way? It is our way or the highway. That sounds like the Left to me.], the same way we have forced all viable candidates to support defunding Obamacare [When did Obamacare get defunded?] and opposing tax increases [Weren’t both suppose to be Republican principles already? Every Republican in Congress voted against Obamacare in 2010. We still have Obamacare today and the monstrosity that passed the Republican House this year does not repeal Obamacare. It just revises Obamacare.].
No important goal is achieved overnight. There is nothing more important than restoring and preserving the greatest nation for the next generation [The question is how best to restore the Constitution.].
