The varsity basketball team was the last District school to win a basketball game winning the District and Regional tournaments. (After that year, Illinois switched from all schools in one division to a two division system. District tournaments for the smallest schools were eliminated.) Education history:

1) Graduated from Morton High School, Morton, Illinois in 1965

2) Graduated from Illinois State University, Normal, Illinois in June of 1969 with a Bachelor of Science in social science with a certificate to teach middle school - high school [I also had a certificate to teach middle school - high school in Arizona although never used.]

3) Graduated from Illinois State University, Normal, Illinois in January of 1971 with a Master of Science in political science [Actual course work was finished in August of 1970. At that time, the graduation ceremony was not until January at the end of the fall semester.]

4) Illinois real estate license in 1972 [I took the course to learn about the real estate market before buying our first house.]

5) Arizona real estate license in 1981 [I took the course to learn about the Arizona real estate market before buying additional Arizona houses. I flew into Tucson for a long weekend and bought a house before we moved to Tucson]

6) Taught myself to do tax preparation work

7) Taught myself to write books

8) Taught myself to publish books

9) American Constitution class at Pima Community College, Tucson, Arizona in the summer of 1997

10) Economics class from the University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona in the fall of 1999

11) Learned about Texas State government, Texas federally elected officials, and presidential candidate Senator Ted Cruz while living in Texas from June of 2013 through August of 2015. I supported Senator Ted Cruz for President as the best hope for restoring the Constitution as written and amended.

Civic, political history:

1) Elected to the Marana School Board, Marana, Arizona in 1982 [Arizona has five member boards of education. I was elected in the cycle that elects two of the five members. There were five candidates running. Both incumbents were defeated and I received the largest number of votes of any of the candidates. At the time, I was the youngest candidate ever elected to the board (from what I was told). I had lived in Arizona for about two and one half years.]

Member from 1983 - 1986 (Clerk of the Board 1985)

[During these four years, the school district built 3 elementary schools, 1 middle school, and 1 high school. Through my board motion our school district was the first district in Arizona to move girlssoftball from the winter months to the spring and girlsbasketball from the spring to the winter months. After the Tucson Unified School District also changed, the change in seasons became the standard for the State.]

2) Manager for girlsand boyslittle league softball and baseball

Girls’ softball in 1983 and 1985 (9-12 year olds)

Boys’ baseball in 1984 and 1986 (9-12 year olds)

3) Volunteer for American Cancer Society during most of the 1980s

4) Independent candidate for the Pima County Board in 1984

I was challenged off of the primary ballot for lack of enough nomination signatures. I was supposedly eight short. Later, two different employees of the clerks office told me I had enough signatures. Some registration cards were conveniently lost to keep me off the ballot in what would have been a 3 candidate primary. (Long story that will be in a future book based upon The Black Sword) I spent $1,000 in the general and received 7% of the vote.

5) Democrat candidate for the Arizona House of Representatives in 1986

Arizona elects two representatives and one senator from each State District. The District had a Democrat incumbent and a Republican incumbent. I won the second spot on the ballot in a three way primary. The incumbent came in first. I defeated a lawyer/doctor in the primary by 43 votes. None of the political experts gave me a chance of winning the primary. Both incumbents won the general election.

6) Democrat candidate for the Arizona House of Representatives in 1988

Two weeks before the filing deadline for the primary, the Democrat incumbent called me and said he had decided to run for the State Senate. He asked me to run for the State House of Representatives taking his place on the ballot. In the three way primary, I received the most votes and was on the ballot. Of the four candidatesthe incumbent Republican and a Republican challenger, two Democrat challengersI was the only candidate that was pro-life. Our internal polls showed I was a solid second in the voting. I made a strategic mistake deciding not to campaign on my pro-life position. When newspaper endorsements occurred, the major paperextreme Left Democratstressed my pro-life position as the reason not to vote for me. Both Republicans won.

I promised that if I ever ran for office again, I would boldly proclaim my pro-life position throughout the campaign. I am pro-life without exception. Every abortion is government sanctioned murder. Abortion must end. In the 2000 election, I decided the Democrat Party could not be saved from within. The Party had left me. I only vote for pro-life candidates. Government sanctioned murder of innocent unborn babies is the American Holocaust!

7) Worked to recall the Governor of Arizona 1989 [The recall was successful but the General Assembly impeached and convicted him before the recall election.]

8) Worked to successfully stop a sales tax increase to finance a Tucson cross-town freeway in the 1990s

9) Worked to successfully stop a sales tax increase to finance a Tucson rapid transit train system in the 1990s

10) Wrote a political blog Political Discussion; Christian ValuesJuly 2005 - June 29, 2015 when Google locked me out of all my blogs.
